Kyle and Stine come from opposite sides of the world, but clearly opposites attract.
“As I’m from Norway, Kyle’s from South Africa and we both live in Australia, we decided pretty quickly that it would have to be a destination wedding. To keep it as fair as possible, we decided to do it in a completely different country. We ended up choosing a country and city that we both loved; Lisbon in Portugal. The weather, the food, the wine, the pastel de natas, the city, the people, basically everything about Lisbon is amazing.” says Stine.
A Lisbon destination wedding was the perfect opportunity to bring their family and friends from all around the world together. In some cases for the first time! Set at the amazing Quinta do Tagus over looking Lisbon they made it official.
Overlooking the incredible views of the azure water, under an arbour of muted greenery and white blooms, these two said their “I dos”.
The rest of the day was set amongst olive trees, with two long communal tables, styled simply with a curated selection of vases with white and green florals. “We wanted it to be a casual style wedding, where people could feel comfortable, eat good food, drink nice wine and listen to awesome music. Food, drinks and music were definitely on the top of our list from the very beginning. We knew the vibe would build from there.” Taking advantage of Portugal’s awesome seafood, dinner was a traditional Portuguese paella cooked on the spot and served straight to guests’ plates.
